PERFECT AUDIENCE MEMBER

Perfect Audience Member My audience will be from the age of 16-25, this is because i believe that this is the age group where dance music is the most popular genre. My typical audience will be a stereotypical indie/basic person who follows constant fashion trends. Girls, music: mainstream dance music Djs such as, Jax Jones, Major Lazer, Tom Zanetti Boys, clothing: Skinny jeans Armarni T-shirt nike trainers Boys, music: Dance, rap Philip George Ocean wisdom, XXXtentatcion, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Skies My music video will attract my perfect audience member as the song i am using is by a very popular duo in which these sort of people listen to. KEY ELEMENTS

Key elements There are many conventions in which my music video must involve to conform with the Genre of Dance music. Typically dance music videos narrative don't always conform with the lyrics of the song. However, Gorgon City have connected the lyrics with the video for their own music to give it purpose and meaning, although they aren't always completely straight forward narratives. Dance music videos normally revolve around the party lifestyle, therefore clips of dancing and getting ready can be involved to reflect the genre. Checklist of what to include in my music video: A range of fast and slow shots. For example, at the beginning of the song a slow motion shot could be used. As the beat builds up the cutting rate can gradually speed up, building up a climax to the chorus/ beat drop. Mis en scene: Lighting, props, costume, hair and makeup, location and colour. for my video i will be filming it in Spain, so I will use a range of locations in the area that i ...

MOOD BOARD

Image
Mood Board I have used some of my own photos of the location where I will be filming in Spain as well as taking some from online of the same place. I chose to include some beach photos as this is where a lot of my music video will be shot. I also am going to film in the square of the town and along the port where there is a market square and boats. This conforms to the expectations of my music genre as dance music videos are commonly associated with sunny locations. I have also included a couple of photos of a beach bar where I can film some clips of drinks and people at the bar in the evening as well as during the day. A lot of dance music videos involve clubbing and night shots with lights and therefore this will be a similar representation of this however, not specifically in a night club.

THREE FAVOURITE VIDEOS

Image
My three favourite Gorgon City music videos: 1. All Four Walls ft. Vaults This is one of my favourite videos as it uses simple locations, costumes and colour schemes to present the narrative of the video. The Video combines with the lyrics of “four walls” showing the restrictions that teenagers have when growing up. It also involves the characters speaking in the slower part of the song bringing the audiences focus on them and their lives, this then helps the audience to determine the lyrics as well as what is going on in the music video. It also has a lot of fast pace shots to show the rush and excitement of teens lives when out. 2.  Unmissable ft. Zak Abel   This music video uses only a few locations with focus on a heterosexual couple. There is numerous close up slow-motion shot to catch the essence of specific moments in the music video. The close up of the characters eyes could be suggesting an intertextual reference to the film Psycho. It gives the audi...
